UName IT Solutions is seeking an Independent Consultant on an as needed basis. We have been expanding so rapidly that we need to have someone available to handle the overages. Consultant will provide in-person, phone and e-mail support to end-users and administrators of UName IT Solutions customers. We are seeking a qualified consultants who are both technically proficient and offers outstanding customer service. We believe proactively solving problems and recommending preventative options to head off future problems.

Provide technical support to users |

Install, set up and configure network devices (Firewall, Routers, Switches, Wireless) |

Install, set up and configure Windows Servers |

Configure and deploy Windows 2000 and Windows XP workstation environments |
| |

 |
Troubleshoot software issues quickly and effectively (Windows 2000/XP and Windows 2000/2003 Server) |

 |
Troubleshoot hardware issues quickly and effectively (DELL, IBM and HP/Compaq Desktop/Laptop/Server hardware) |
| |

 |
Create and update documentation |
| |

 |
Make changes to phones and voicemail |

4+ years technical experience |

Experience with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server, Active Directory |

Experience with Microsoft Exchange and SQL |
| |
|
 |
Experience with Firewalls, Routers, and VPN |
| |
|
 |
Experience with Backup Solutions (Veritas and ArcServe) |
| |
|
 |
Experience with project management |
| |
|
 |
Familiarity with all Microsoft desktop applications |
| |
|
 |
Familiarity with Cabling, CAT5 Ethernet, and Telephone |
| |
|
 |
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff in difficult or conflictive situations |

Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively |
